Hey hey hey! Let’s catch up, shall we? 🙂
Sorry I’ve been MIA. I moved back to Austin, school started, and I’ve been working, training, and studying my bootay off already.
Let’s start with training.
Okay, so to be 100% honest, I was in a bit of a rut for a few weeks. It was so miserably hot outside, I was overtrained and tired, and I just lacked some serious motivation. However, that has all changed! For one, I bought a tri suit! WHOOOOOO! I tried it out the other day with a short 300 yd swim and then a 17 mile ride for an amazing brick workout. Also, I am registered for the Kerrville Triathlon at the end of September! It’ll be quarter distance, so it’s going to be a great measuring point for my half Ironman on November 2nd!
Now let’s talk about school!
As you guys know, I’m a nutrition major now and I could NOT BE HAPPIER! Goodness gracious, I was just doing some homework for my nutritional sciences course and I had a smile on my face. I was calculating acceptable macronutrient distribution ranges, y’all. And I was still so pumped. All my classes seem really great so far and I love my position as an undergraduate assistant.
And of course, I’ve still been working at the Coffee Bean! I need the caffeine in my life. SPEAKING OF WHICH, today we released pumpkin lattes heyyyyoooo!
Confession: Today on campus I had an iced coffee with pump of pumpkin spice syrup from Starbucks… It was good, even though I’m aware that there’s no pumpkin in that syrup.
Nonetheless, happy September! I know summer technically ends September 21st, but I’m going to go ahead and pretend it’s fall now. Even though it’s still 95 degrees outside. Haha!
I can’t wait to eat all things pumpkin and to wear leggings and boots and scarves. Yeah, so typical.
Talk to you guys later, I have some textbook reading and running to do!
Love,
Ju
